The War of Art

A few years ago, I got this book called "The War of Art". I've read it several times and often refer to specific sections of the book. The author is an accomplished writer, and he discusses what he calls 'Resistance' - the force behind Procrastination. It's a really interesting, informative, and inspiring read. I highly recommend this book for any creative person who just can't seem to get their work done.
Last night was probably the most difficult for me, thus far. I was at a friend's place until 11pm. I was already tired from the day's work. All I wanted to do was go home and go to sleep. But, I didn't. I put on some music. Set my timer to exactly one hour. Sat down at my art table and went to work. (I'll post the work I did later on tonight - had trouble with my crappy PC, which I gave up on at 2am!) I was amazed at how much anxiety I felt going home, knowing that I had to sit down and draw. However, I was equally amazed at how quickly that anxiety faded once I began to work. Do other artists feel the same lack of peace when they're avoiding their work?
